About devices, bandwidth and nodes

Yes, every Mac mini offered by vpshaloPhysical exclusivemode without any form of virtualization or overbooking. The instance you rent has exclusive access to all of the following resources:

  • All 10 CPU cores and GPU cores of the Apple M4 chip
  • 16GB or 24GB Unified Memory
  • 256GB or 512GB NVMe SSD

Your workloads will not be affected by other tenants, and performance is always at peak levels for compute-intensive tasks such as Xcode compilation, machine learning inference, and video rendering.

Yes, exclusive to both:

  • Independent public network IPv4: Each instance is assigned a dedicated public IP address, without sharing it with others or using NAT.
  • 1 Gbps exclusive bandwidth: Each instance has access to a 1 Gbps physical uplink and does not share the bandwidth pool with other instances. Daily uploads/downloads can reach this rate.
  • Unlimited traffic: There is no monthly traffic cap, and there are no additional charges for bulk data transfer and continuous CI/CD builds.

Currently, vpshalo has deployed nodes in the following 6 regions, all operating online:

  • Hong Kong, China— The delay is about 10ms (Southern China), the first choice for users in mainland China
  • Japan · Tokyo— Delay about 30ms (Mainland China)
  • South Korea · Seoul— Latency about 35ms (East Asia)
  • Singapore— Delay about 60ms (Southern China)
  • United States West Coast— Latency about 140ms (Mainland China)
  • United States · East Coast— Delay about 200ms (Mainland China)

"Parallel" means throughThunderbolt 5Physical cables directly connect multiple Mac minis to form a high-speed private LAN to achieve the following capabilities:

  • Ultra-high-speed intranet transmission:Thunderbolt 5 Bidirectional bandwidth is up to 120 Gbps, suitable for scenarios such as large file sharing and distributed compilation.
  • unified arrangement: Multiple machines can be treated as the same build cluster for Xcode distributed compilation or large-scale model parallel inference.
  • Low latency interconnect: Direct connection latency is extremely low (approximately <0.1ms), suitable for tasks that require intensive inter-node communication.

Parallel service is calculated at additional charges, please see the specific pricePricing page(Extended Pricing Block). For configuration, please contact customer support.

Connect devices and daily management

vpshalo supports passingnoVNC Direct browser connection, without installing any additional clients:

  • Log inconsole, enter the instance details page.
  • Click the "Open VNC Desktop" button, and the browser will pop up the macOS graphical interface directly.
  • When using it for the first time, the system will prompt you to enter the VNC password, which can be viewed in the "Connection Information" on the instance details page.

If you need to use a local VNC client (such as RealVNC, Screen Sharing), the connection address format is:

vnc://<Public IP>:5900

Recommended resolution:1920×1080, frame rate supports up to 120FPS (depending on network conditions).

Complete SSH connection information can be found on the instance details page of the console. The default port is22

ssh <username>@<public IP>

If the SSH key has been configured, run the above command directly to log in without a password. If you use a password to log in, the system will prompt you to enter the password (the password can be viewed on the console instance details page).

Common client recommendations:

  • macOS/Linux: The system comes with Terminal or iTerm2
  • Windows: Windows Terminal (OpenSSH built-in) or PuTTY
  • Mobile: Termius (iOS/Android)

If the connection times out, please confirm that the local firewall or proxy tool does not block outbound traffic on TCP port 22.

Log inconsoleAfter that, you can find the power control button in the action bar in the upper right corner of the instance details page:

  • Start: Click "Start", the system will go online in about 30 seconds, and the SSH and VNC services will automatically resume.
  • Stop: Click "Shutdown", the system will send a soft shutdown signal (equivalent to clicking the "Shutdown" menu in macOS), and the power will be turned off after the data is safely saved.
  • Restart: Click "Restart", the system will restart normally, and the IP address will remain unchanged.

If you need to force a power outage (when the system becomes unresponsive), you can use the "force shutdown" option on the console. This operation does not guarantee the integrity of the file system. It is recommended to save your work before use.

Purchase, Configuration and Customer Support

After the purchase is completed, the system willAutomated delivery, from successful payment to instance readiness usually inWithin 5 minutes

  • Payment successful → The system automatically allocates physical nodes → Complete system initialization → SSH / VNC goes online
  • After the activation is completed, the status of the console instance list changes to "Running", and the system will send a notification email containing connection information to your registered email address.

If the instance is not ready after more than 10 minutes, pleaseContact customer support

There are two ways to view device hardware specifications:

  • console: After logging in, check the chip model, memory, storage, IP address and other information on the "Instance Details" page.
  • Within macOS system: After connecting through SSH or VNC, click "Apple Menu → About This Mac" in the upper left corner to view; or run in the terminal:
system_profiler SPHardwareDataType

Log inconsoleback:

  • Instance expiration time: You can directly view the remaining duration and expiration date on the instance list or details page.
  • Historical orders and bills: Enter the "Bill" or "Order History" page to view all historical purchase records, payment amounts and status.

If you encounter billing abnormalities, pleaseContact customer support, and provide the order number for quick processing.

We provide multiple support channels and respond 24/7:

  • Console ticket: After logging in, click "Help" or "Submit Work Order" in the upper right corner, fill in the problem description and submit it. The work order system usually provides the first reply within 2 hours.
  • Email support: Send email to[email protected], please indicate your account email and problem description.

If you encounter an urgent problem (such as the instance being inaccessible), it is recommended to submit a work order through the console first and mark it "urgent" for priority processing.
